2-3 axis Gantry type Manipulator from Güdel AG

2-3 axis module is the majority combination to cover large working ranges in a horizontal plain. It’s a serial concept and a typical product of this combination is the well known gantry robot manipulator for all kinds of applications.

With certain modifications (increased stiffness, rigidity etc) the standard gantry module is also capable of machining processes within a certain range. Equipped with the correct process head then drilling, riveting, fettling, laser cutting, waterjet cutting, etc. can be carried out. The functional risk of the Cartesian axes is very minor to the use of standardized, proven Cartesian module devices. Special coating/surface treatment makes it also capable for harsh environments.
