Aquamarine Power Ltd specialises in marine energy conversion and its commercial applications. Our business goal is to stimulate and supply global markets for large-scale Oyster wave power farms.

Based in Scotland, Aquamarine’s senior management team has a wealth of engineering and commercial expertise, with unrivalled experience of offshore and coastal engineering.

Over the last five years, we have worked closely with key partners, including the award-winning wave power research group at Queen’s University Belfast, to deliver Oyster, a simple, robust and reliable marine energy converter. Our technology development programme has attracted a wide range of sponsors, including Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The company has also secured substantial private equity investment.
