Cherwell Laboratories was founded by Lawrence Whittard in 1971 as a veterinary diagnostic laboratory and has evolved over the years to become a specialist supplier of products for environmental monitoring, cleanroom bio-decontamination, and process validation for healthcare, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications.

From its site in Bicester, it manufactures Redipor® Prepared Media, a range of microbiological media products developed to meet the specific needs of its customers. They are also the UK distributor for SAS microbial air samplers and cleanroom bio-decontamination products from Mar Cor Purification.
