Aerosonic Altimeters measure the static (barometric) pressure and display it in terms of feet of altitude. There are several configurations, all of which operate within tight performance tolerances to insure accuracy and safety of flight. These instruments are calibrated in ranges from 20,000 ft. to 80,000 ft.
