The OLCT 100 fixed gas detector available from Teledyne has been developed for detecting oxygen (O2), toxic gases, and explosive gases.
This combustible gas detector is provided with a 4 to 20 mA output (OLCT 100) or a Wheatstone bridge output (OLC 100). Regardless of users’ applications, Teledyne provides the perfect solution, such as electrochemical, catalytic, poison control, or semiconductor versions. These ATEX-approved detectors are available in intrinsically safe or explosion-safe versions.
Apart from this range, the OLC and OLCT 100 gas detectors provide an infrared sensor, which enables them to be employed in more harsh environmental settings, where the presence of poisons could impact the use of a catalytic sensor.
The electronics and sensor in the OLCT 100 XP-IR come with a three-year warranty, allowing it to offer both consistency and extended lifetime.
Equipped with this latest range of detectors, Teledyne has extended its product portfolio with products that integrate ease of use, durability, and reliability.
The 100 series is highly safe since it is SIL2-certified in accordance with the EN 50402 standards. As a case in point, the Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD) of combustible versions is 1 out of 2857 for the infrared version, and 1 out of 418 for the catalytic version.
OLCT 100 IS: This is an intrinsically safe version and fitted with an electrochemical sensor for detecting O2 or toxic gases.
OLCT 100 XP: This is an explosion-proof version and fitted with a semiconductor, electrochemical, or catalytic sensor, for detecting O2, toxic gases, or explosives.
OLCT 100 XP HT: This is a high-temperature explosion-proof version and used for detecting explosive gases of up to 200 °C.
OLCT 100 XP IR: This is an explosion-proof version and fitted with an infrared sensor for detecting CO2 gas.
