Dryad provides ultra-early detection of wildfires as well as health and growth-monitoring of forests using solar-powered gas sensors in a large-scale IoT sensor network. Dryad aims to tackle wildfires, which are causing up to 20 % of global CO₂ emissions and have a devastating impact on biodiversity.After several successful startups and exits in IT, electronics and telecommunications, we now want to apply our expertise to solve real-world problems. Witnessingforest firesincreasingly threatening the world's largest carbon sink compelled us to think of innovative solutions to protect our invaluable natural resources by harnessing the power of nature and technology.
