The MassaSonic® FlatPack® Sensors are optimized to provide consistent non-contact distance measurement of uneven solid bulk materials, pastes, or fluids in constrained working zones for application ranges from 1" (25 mm) to 13' (4 m).
These low profile designed ultrasonic transmitter modules integrate the latest processing algorithms and dual-transducer ultrasonic technology. The sensors use modern dual-transducer ultrasonic technology and processing algorithms, providing precise measurement for pipe and conveyor belt blockage, warehouse materials control, factory automation, and tank level applications with non-uniform surfaces, and chute monitoring of construction/mining equipment.
FlatPack® Sensors are suitable to control or monitor in-pipe flow levels of renewable energy systems or waste water pipes. The sensors have a unique dual transducer design with a 15° system beam angle, and because of this, it is unlikely the maximum range capabilities will be affected by solid materials with non-uniform surfaces, as is the case with single transducer sensors using narrow beam angles.
The IP68 rated, RoHS and CE compliant FlatPack® Sensors have field proven designs and are supplied in a PVC housing for use in all-weather resistant moderate chemical environments from -40°C to 70°C. They can be easily installed as they are provided with an integrated mounting plate with pre-formed holes.
All of the models are provided with constant temperature compensation that guarantees precise speed of sound calibration and measurement accuracy. Other user-friendly characteristics include monitoring and diagnostic outputs, and protection against reverse polarity, short circuits, and over voltage.
