Grabner Instruments’ MINISCAN IR VISION is a high speed, compact and robust FTIR fuel analyzer for the full and automatic measurement of jet, gasoline, and diesel fuels. The analyzer is set up to measure over 100 fuel parameters and components for fuel blending, for quality inspection, and to verify adherence to fuel specifications directly at the point of sale.
100+ Preconfigured Parameters Measured
A compound analysis is carried out based on the global standards ASTM D6277 and EN 238 for Benzene, ASTM D5845 for oxygenates, and EN 14078 for Biodiesel blends. An integral temperature regulated density meter enables the meticulous determination and stability of fuel density. Octane and cetane number, vapor pressure, distillation, and other fuel properties are automatically established from the complete IR spectrum using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis and cutting-edge chemometric models following ASTM E1655. Numerous thousand data points are used to realize the best prediction accuracy.

For predicted properties, the MINISCAN IR VISION operates calibration data that has to comply with the most stringent quality standards. As an exclusive feature, the instrument is fitted with a database of samples that have been amassed and examined by SGS®!

The MINISCAN IR Vision is unrivaled in its category of portable fuel analyzers. The thermoelectric temperature control of the instrument´s filling system, measuring cells and integrated density meter maximizes accuracy in computing volume and mass percentage of fuel compounds.
Robust for Use in the Field
Durability makes the instrument suitable for the difficulties faced during mobile or field testing. The MINISCAN IR Vision integrates Grabner’s well-established, strong, and bubble-free metal filling system. The instrument is safeguarded by the shock and vibration-tested Vision platform housing. The double interferometer is positioned with a self-aligning mirror system that enables automatic rectification of intensity shifts after a challenging drive over a bumpy road. A sturdy, 10” full-color industrial touchscreen ensures maximum visibility and easy usage even under tough environmental surroundings. For field use, the instrument can be driven with a 12 V car adapter.
