Gas Detection Controller - MX 62

Teledyne’s MX 62 is an appealing solution for gas and flame detection requirements. The MX 62 is a modular and versatile controller that is easy to set up and helps to minimize operational costs.

The MX 62 system meets the ATEX 100 A regulations and provides a high security level as mandated by the SIL3 and SK2 rated systems.

Cost-Effective and Secure Installation

The structure of the MX 62 platform has been engineered to offer redundancy. Precise data is relayed promptly from the detectors to the relays.

Structured Programming

The MX 62 is configured using the ConfigPro.exe software, via a secure and password-protected interface.

Parallel connection

Printing alarms, fault, relay operating status, minimum/maximum average more than 8 hours

Type ASCII, alphanumeric 40 or 80 characters

CPU Module (D)

The CPU module is the core of the system, with two processors and backup power supply.

Plug in the LCD and LED modules, or remote connection through RS485 (4 wires + shield).

Allows connection to multiple modules

Offers centralized management

Allows connection to an external or internal printer

Analog Input Module (E)

Analog signals from the detectors can be input to the control system. Dual converters guarantee dependable and redundant operation.

Allows direct link with the MX 62 system or remote through the adapter module

Offers up to 8 measurement points, 2 or 3 wires

Adapter Module (F)

Facilitates three operating modes:

    Connection of two analog input modules

    Integration of up to eight addressable detectors with a remote analog module

    Loop configuration of up to 16 addressable detectors

The module can be remote through two RS485 networks (2 x 4 wires + screened platform)

Relay Module (G)

Equipped with two processors connected to the CPU

    Separately programmable positive safety

    Principal module: 8 relays

    Extension module: 8 relays

    Breaking capacity: 460 VA, 60 W

    NO/NC contacts

    The module can be remote through 2 RS485 (2 x 4 wires + screened platform)

    Analog Output Module (H)

    Equipped with two processors connected to the CPU

      Fitted with eight analog 0–10 V or 4–20 mA outputs

      Each output is designed to transmit:

        The linearized value

        The real-time value for each input

        Means or max. for a detector group

        Mimic module: open collector (56) ideal to drive LED mimic panel according to MX 62 channel

        Communication Module (I)

        Allows to connect with CPU via the RS 232

        Possible to connect to a supervisor for data exportation (DCS, PLC, or SCADA)

        Offers Modbus or personalized protocol via RS 422

        A communication splitter module is available (Optional).
