Hiden Isochema is a world leader in the design and manufacture of gas and vapor sorption instrumentation for research, development and production applications in surface chemistry and materials science.

We have been producing sorption measurement systems since 1992 when Hiden Analytical first began manufacturing the Intelligent Gravimetric Analyzer (IGA). Following a decade of continued success, Hiden Isochema was formed as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hiden Analytical in order to further specialize in the development and manufacture of sorption-specific instrumentation. The two companies are now members of the Hiden Instruments Group.

Since then, we have expanded our product range to include manometric sorption systems, dedicated breakthrough analyzers, membrane permeation analyzers, and unique climate control; and we continue to strengthen our reputation for delivering high quality and versatile instrumentation while providing industry-leading levels of technical support.

Our instruments are found in high profile academic and industrial research laboratories around the world at universities, research institutes, and R&D labs, as well as numerous process and quality control installations.

Dynamic Vapor sorption Analyzers/Water sorption analyzers

The IGAsorp series of instruments are fully automated benchtop gravimetric analysis systems designed to quickly and accurately measure the magnitude and kinetics of moisture sorption by materials.

Gravimetric Gas and Vapor Sorption Analyzers

The IGA series of instruments use the gravimetric technique to measure the magnitude and dynamics of gas and vapor sorption by materials.

The XEMIS series allows gravimetric sorption analysis in extreme environments – at high temperatures and pressures, and with corrosive, toxic and flammable species.

Manometric Gas and Vapor Sorption Analyzers

The IMI Series includes a range of instruments from entry-level manometric gas sorption analyzers to advanced multistream dynamic flow systems with integrated mass spectrometry.

Automated Breakthrough Analyzers

The ABR is a fully automated breakthrough analyzer designed to measure breakthrough curves for gas and vapor mixtures adsorbed on solid samples.

Membrane Permeation Analyzer

The MBR is a dedicated membrane testing reactor for studying the selective gas permeation properties of membrane materials for separation and purification applications.

Climate Control Systems

The XCS Series provides users with a unique controlled environment for a range of applications, allowing the control of temperature, humidity, gas flow rate or pressure.

Applications Laboratory and Contract Analysis Service

The laboratory offers our customers unrivaled application support and full access to our knowledge base and instruments. The laboratory houses a suite of instruments and is staffed by an experienced applications team of Ph.D. scientists with a variety of backgrounds including sorption science, surface science and thermodynamics.
