LINAK is a family-owned business, founded on a wish to improve the lives of people. We do so by developing high-quality electric linear actuator technology that creates movement for a wealth of applications in healthcare, agriculture, industry, offices, and homes.

In 2019, the corporate turnover of €560m was created by 2,400 dedicated employees in 35 countries.The headquarters are located in the town of Guderup in southern Denmark, and production facilities are established in Denmark, China, the USA, Thailand and Slovakia.

The History

The foundation of LINAK^®dates back to 1907. Christian Jensen establishes the machine shop his grandson, Bent Jensen, inherits in 1976. Shortly after, he invents an electric linear actuator for a friend’s wheelchair, and he immediately sees the potential for something more.

In 1984, Bent Jensen changes the company name to LINAK – short for ‘LineærAktuator’.Learn more about theLINAK history.
