Mentari Alam EKO (M) Sdn Bhd, or MAEKO, is the brainchild of three passionate individuals focused on solving one of the biggest problems facing our planet - the Food Waste issue. Every day, HUGE amounts of food scraps (or even full meals) are being wasted in Malaysia, taking up space in landfills, and poisoning our Earth.

The founders of MAEKO knew there was a simple solution - composting. Combining their expertise from the fields of biotechnology, mechanical engineering, and marketing, MAEKO was born with the singular intent of helping the country - and the world - achieve ZERO FOOD WASTE.

After close to a decade of Research and Development, MAEKO is proud to have created the most cutting-edge composting technology in the ASEAN region. Our patented technology has been applied in our comprehensive range of composters for use in any industry that produces food waste.

Our presence is already being felt in many industries, such as:

Hotels - With hotels having banquets almost every day, plenty of food waste can be composted

Supermarkets and F&B Outlets - Old or wasted food can be composted instead of thrown away

Factories, Municipalities & Educational Institutions - When meals are provided at the canteens, food courts, and cafeterias where plenty of organic waste is created

Hospitals - All hospitals provided food daily, much of which is often not eaten and wasted.
