Makel Engineering, Incorporated (MEI) was established in 1995 with the primary objective of providing innovative cutting-edge products and services for aviation, space, military and commercial applications. In 1997, the company was relocated from Sacramento to Chico, CA. In 2003 MEI inaugurated its state-of-the-art headquarter facilities.

Over the years, Makel Engineering has established its name in the MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems) chemical sensing arena. MEI strives to continuously transform technologies developed jointly with its partners into viable products.
