The original MIKROTRON GmbH was founded in 1976 in Eching near Freising, Germany. Initially, the engineers developed electronic circuits and programs for microprocessors. Despite the continuing growing success in industrial image processing, the field of industrial electronics is still an important business area of the company today.
Since 1979, MIKROTRON has also been active in the field of industrial image processing. Always oriented to the needs of the market, components for industrial image processing have been developed since then. In order to be able to offer complete image processing systems from a single source, high-speed cameras and high-speed recording systems for a wide range of applications have also been developed since 2000, rounding off the product portfolio in this area.
