Open Path Combustible Gas Detector - Quasar 900

The Quasar 900 system from Teledyne identifies hydrocarbon gases by first examining the absorption of radiation induced by atmospheric gases and then comparing it with background atmospheric absorption. This is achieved between two units—a flash source and a detector that can track a distance of up to 200 m.

Featuring a rugged design, the Quasar 900 gas detectors are capable of handling the most adverse settings. The detectors also include epoxy-coated circuit boards for protection, 316L stainless steel housings that fulfill IP66/IP68 and NEMA 250 6P egress standards, and MIL-C-810C testing for fog, salt, humidity, mechanical shock, vibration, and temperature extremes.
