Consumers use sound-enabled products in the real world, from smartphones and wearables to smart home devices, which is why MEMS microphones must operate in real-world environments. Vesper’s VM1000 does just that.
Robust and Reliable
VM1000 is the most reliable and robust MEMS microphone for consumer products, as the industry’s first piezoelectric MEMS microphone. It is a dependable microphone – dustproof, waterproof, shockproof and particle-resistant so you can bathe it in dust, immerse it in water, drop it on the ground, or expose it to particulate matter, and it continues to work properly.

Exceptionally Stable
Consumers desire far-field audio applications in IoT devices and smartphones. They want to use voice control to control their smart TV and record from across the room. It is far-field audio applications like these that are causing microphone arrays to be so popular, but there is an issue: Microphone arrays need microphones that are matched carefully in terms of sensitivity and phase.
Once capacitive MEMS microphones leave the factory floor, they are prone to “drift,” so their performance is unstable. As a piezoelectric MEMS microphone, VM1000 uses a much simpler and more consistent manufacturing process as well as easier, less expensive ASIC calibration – verifying that phase and sensitivity are well matched.
Extremely stable over time and in harsh environments, VM1000 microphones in an array always stay matched in all environmental conditions.
Ambient Noise Cancellation and Audio Zoom
As a very high SNR microphone, VM1000 gives an acoustically rich experience for a huge scope of applications. VM1000 provides superior “audio zoom” – giving consumers more accurate sound-selection when they are recording, it also offers better ambient noise cancellation, so phone calls and recordings sound clearer.
Technical Specifications
VM1000 is an omnidirectional, single-ended analog output MEMS microphone.
