Polar Robot from Sage Automation, Inc.
A roll sortation polar robot was designed to group up to five slit widths from a parent roll in an extremely tight space.
The two axis robot picks fro the parent roll located in the upper right position behind the robots vertical mast. It places slits to the two stations counter clockwise from the pick station. A fourth pick from station holds headers/footers located at the bottom right.The place positions are indexed using a five station carousel to build a product package. When complete, product groups are removed by a shuttle car moving under and lifting the package from the far left station.
