Polytec has provided high-technology, laser-based measurement solutions to researchers and engineers. Our commitment is to provide the most precise and reliable optical instruments and sensors available for non-contact measurement, setting Polytec apart from the competition as the gold standard in the design and manufacture of vibrometer and velocimeter systems.
Polytec develops hardware and software for complete non-contact vibration monitoring. Our vibrometers use heterodyne detection to precisely measure the Doppler shift of back-scattered laser light. From the Doppler shift the velocity and displacement information can be determined by a Polytec decoder.
