Quantitative Gas Analysis with Hiden’s QGA

Hiden Analytical provides accurate and easy-to-use tools for quantitative gas and vapor analysis. The handy Hiden QGA system is a high-performance gas analyzer that has been configured for real-time continuous monitoring of several species with an extremely extensive dynamic range.

With simplified operation and a compact footprint, the Hiden QGA fulfills the requirements of users in production scale applications and research alike.

Overview

Multi-species quantitative gas analysis in real-time needs the most extensive mass sampling range possible and quick response rates. Depending on a strong HAL 201 RC residual gas analysis mass spectrometer, the Hiden QGA features a standard mass range varying from 1 to 200 atomic mass units (amu) and with detection above a very high dynamic range up to 100%.

Gas and vapor species can be measured at concentrations as low as 100 parts per billion (ppb).

Having a nominal response time within 300 milliseconds (ms), the Hiden QGA can quickly detect the majority of the common species of interest with measurement speeds ranging up to 650 readings per second.

This unparalleled performance comes courtesy of the quantitative gas analyzer’s internal dual electron multiplier and Faraday detectors and an accurate QIC (quartz inlet-heated capillary) sampling interface.

The Hiden QIC capillary inlet, as standard, canfunction at pressures from 100 mbar to 2 bar and elevated temperatures of 200 °C.

Higher temperature inlets functioning at up to 450 °C and high-pressure gas analysis sampling options up to 30 bar are provided as options. It also comes with a range of extremely low-pressure (<100 mbar) sampling options.
