Site Sentinel CXT Wireless Controller

Teledyne’s Site Sentinel CXT Wireless Controller serves as an accessory to all wireless controllers available from Detcon. It can be deployed economically and easily in both temporary and permanent installations.

The Sentinel CXT Wireless Controller performs wireless transmission of data from up to four wired gas detectors. It is provided with a battery for powering the attached sensors, alarm devices, and the radio. The CXT Wireless Controller is compatible with the Model RXT transceivers available from Detcon.

Alarm reset, alarm test, alarm acknowledge, and radio silence are the available command functions. During standard operation, the control panel offers real-time display of battery charge levels, gas concentrations or the status of other field devices, network RF signal quality, and any other fault diagnostic conditions that influence either an individual field device or the entire network. The control screen displays the fault conditions.

External alarm port, visual alarm, audio alarm, up to four external wired sensor inputs, and alarm reset switch are available as options. A power switch and power-in port are provided as standard features.

The control panel has been rated for Class 1, Division 2; Groups A, B, C, D hazardous areas. The magnetic contact switches provided behind the glass lens cover make the operator interface non-intrusive.

This sophisticated design leverages ultra-low-power components and a low-power LCD with backlight. An 11.5–30 VDC power supply and/or an internal rechargeable battery provide the power required for the device.

The Sentinel CXT Wireless Controller operates for about one to two months before requiring a recharge. Operating time can be extended for almost any application by using an optional solar charging panel.
