The Ladybug6 is the industry’s leading high-resolution camera for capturing 360-degree spherical images from moving platforms in any weather. Its industrial-grade design and factory calibration generate 72 Megapixel (MP) images with pixel values that are spatially accurate to +/–2 mm at a 10 m distance.
The Ladybug6 expands on Teledyne FLIR’s machine vision heritage as the newest member of its field-proven Ladybug series, with enhanced image resolution, increased on-board processing, and powerful IP67-rated connectors. Support for additional Global Navigation Satellite Systems and advanced APIs, in conjunction with hardware inputs, allows for precise camera settings and trigger control.
Panoramic street image production, road surveying, asset inspection, feature extraction for HD map generation, etc., are some of the many customer applications.
Highest Accuracy and Image Quality
The combination of industry-leading calibration, global shutter CMOS sensors, and high-end optics results in an impressive survey-grade spatial accuracy of +/–2 mm at 10 m. Furthermore, the Ladybug6 produces high-quality images in a variety of lighting conditions, with an excellent color response, low noise, and a wide dynamic range.
Onboard Processing and Feature Rich SDK
The Ladybug6 expands on Teledyne FLIR’s field-proven Ladybug5+ by capturing, compressing, and transmitting 8-bit or 12-bit pixel data with on-board image processing for streamlined workflows. Through a user-friendly interface, the feature-rich Ladybug Software Development Kit (SDK) facilitates image acquisition, spherical and panoramic image production, and fine grain control of pre- and post-acquisition camera settings.
Built for the Outdoors
The Ladybug6 was developed from the ground up to capture images from moving platforms in outdoor environments. It has an IP65 rating, a broad operating temperature range (–30 °C to 50 °C), support for supplemental Global Navigation Satellite Systems, industrial-grade IP67-rated connectors, and trigger control by hardware or software with sophisticated APIs for full camera control.
