The Thermo Scientific™ MAX-iAQ™ is a fully automated, 20-point ambient air monitoring system used for low-level detection of trace compounds, even in high-humidity situations.
The MAX-iAQ system can quantify 1-100+ compounds down to single digit ppb using advanced Thermo Scientific™ Starboost Technology while maintaining short cycle times. Due to its high sensitivity and efficiency, the MAX-iAQ is a strong alternative to conventional gas chromatograph-based systems, which are frequently slower, less sensitive, and more expensive to maintain.
The system is designed to operate as a continuous monitor with little or no user interaction. It offers dynamic alarming functionality, user-definable sequencing that can vary by time of day, remote monitoring, and standard data publishing and reporting. A factory-ready solution is possible with a variety of enclosure configurations to suit particular needs.
MAX-iAQ Ambient Air Monitoring System Features
The MAX-iRFTIR gas analyzer allowsacquisition of the full mid-IR spectrum and quantification of nearly any organic or inorganic compound down to 10s of ppb in normal configuration and single digit ppb using Thermo Scientific™ StarBoost™ Technology
Extremely resistant to real-world environmental variables, including dampness and airborne particles
Integrated design includes a temperature-controlled rack to avoid sample sticking, an automated sample multiplexer, an industrial computer, and a versatile I/O interface for simple factory integration.
A 20-port multiplexer with sampling and bypass pumps allows for continuous sample flow on all channels, together with a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a touchscreen human-machine interface (HMI)
All sample, calibration gas, and nitrogen connections are located on the system’s back for easy coupling.
Designed to operate for 10+ years with minimal maintenance, the system’s FTIR analyzer is factory calibrated and operates continuously for its useful life without recalibration. If necessary, the system can accept calibration cylinders for auto certification purposes (QA/QC) or generate new calibrations for new analytes.
Easy to use Thermo Scientific™ MAX-Acquisition™ Automation Software controls each device in the system on a time basis through a customizable workflow function
Factory connection into existing infrastructure can be simple with standard Modbus™ and optional digital/analog data publishing
