Amogy

Amogy is on a mission to build technology that unlocks ammonia’s potential as a clean energy source, accelerating the global journey to Net Zero and sustaining future generations. Founded in 2020 by four MIT PhD alumni, we aim to enable the decarbonization of the hard-to-abate sectors, such as shipping, power generation, and heavy-duty transportation, with our ammonia-based, carbon-free, high energy-density power solution.

To date, our ammonia-to-power system has been demonstrated with success in a 5 kW drone, 100 kW tractor, and 300 kW semi-truck, and our team is currently retrofitting a 1 MW tugboat, the NH₃Kraken, to be the world’s first ammonia-powered vessel. We are also renovating a manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas where we will launch our commercialization efforts.

We believe that introducing a clean energy source for the hard-to-abate sectors is not only needed but is also urgent. With our planet’s natural ecosystems, biodiversity, climate stability, and air quality at stake, we envision a cleaner, sustainable future with ammonia at the source.
