Barrier1 Systems, LLC (Barrier1) provides state of the art robust physical barriers and security solutions using innovative products with unique capabilities. The company's founder and CEO, Michael Lamore, and the employees are dedicated to providing innovative high-security solutions that meet the Customer’s site-specific needs and requirements. In the past 17 years, more than 4,500 of our crash rated barrier systems have been fielded in 13 countries.

Barrier1 provides engineering, design, drawings, fabrication & assembly, custom controls & electronics, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. Products include our Net Barriers (reduced risk with energy absorption systems); Electric Drop Arms (mobile and fixed); Drop & Swing Crash Beams (manually operated); Wedge Barriers (electric); Bollards (shallow foundation, retractable, removable); Quick Connect Barrier (manual); crash rated cable fencing ; swing gates, and other products.  Barrier1 will integrate specialized controls with alarms, wireless remote controls, card readers, audible & visual alarms, traffic signals, safety detection devices, PLCs, over speed detection, wrong way detection, RFID tag activation, trigger loops, UPS backup power, and other systems and devices as part of the security solution. We often work with General Contractors, Installers, and Maintenance Personnel as part of the delivery process.

 Significant research and product development have been completed and remain ongoing. This includes 35+ independent third-party vehicle crash tests where ASTM M30 (K4), M40 (K8), and M50 (K12) certifications have been obtained. Extensive lab testing of materials, connections and components have also been completed. Testing of electronic parts, actuators, components, connections, and fasteners have been completed. Barrier1’s products are approved by the Department of Defense (DoD) and included on the DoD's approved list of anti-ram vehicle barriers. Barrier1's products have also been approved by nuclear power plants, government agencies in the US and overseas, and large corporations after extensive reviews. Customers often give Barrier1 unique and specialized barrier requirements, where we develop a cost effective solution that meets their specific needs.

Barrier1 employs expertise in engineering, welding and metal works, controls & alarms, electronics, power systems, programming, manufacturing, and installation. The company was founded in 2002.  Barrier1 is the direct manufacturer and engineer for its products, and supports the products after installation. As the direct manufacturer, Barrier1 can provide expedited product fabrication and meet aggressive delivery schedules.
