Determining Vapor Pressure in Gasoline Using the MINIVAP ON-LINE

The MINIVAP ON-LINE, designed by Grabner Instruments is a process monitoring analyzer that can determine the vapor pressure of LPG, gasoline, crude oil, and NPG. Furthermore, it can measure the vapor-liquid ratio (LVR) of gasoline. The measuring principle is the same as the globally used laboratory instruments MINIVAP and so the MINIVAP ON-LINE can generate equivalent results.

Up to two different sample streams can be connected to a single analyzer. It is the only commercially available process vapor pressure tester that totally adheres to the industry applicable ASTM standards for crude oil (D6377), gasoline (ASTM D6378), and LPG (D6897).

Applications

The measuring standard is based on the triple expansion technique of Grabner Instruments´ internationally approved and accepted laboratory vapor pressure tester for crude oil and gasoline: MINIVAP VPS. The US-EPA stated in 1993 that the MINIVAP is USA’s official reference instrument.

The vapor pressure of liquid petroleum gas (D6897/D1267) gasoline (D6378/D5191), crude oil (D6377/D323), and the vapor-liquid ratio temperature of gasoline (D5188) can be defined with the MINIVAP ON-LINE. With possible connection of up to two diverse sample streams, these measurements can be carried out using one single instrument.
