GITEWS Project Management
GITEWS is a project of the German Government at the reconstruction of the tsunami-prone region of the Indian Ocean. Sensors of the Tsunami Early Warning System are seismomenter, GPS station, risk maps and education of the population, buoy, inauguration of the early warning centre, simulation, satellite-hub, warning centre, tide gauge. The sensors, are installed at different locations inside the considered propagation areas, are able to rapidly detect deviations from normality (anomalies).
