Iospectra Hawk Monitoring System by International Medcom

The Iospectra Hawk is a wall mounted or a tripod radiation monitoring and alarm system, which can be used along with the Iospectra 1320-AO radiation probe. The Hawk has two featured displays that show the radiation levels determined by each of the two detectors of the probe. The probe’s two detectors include the ‘pancake-style’ Geiger Muller tube measuring alpha, beta, gamma and X radiation as well as the energy-compensated gamma tube. The probe can be mounted close by or can be set up in a location upto several thousand feet outdoors or indoors.

The system design is economical and can act as a “tripwire” to warn responsible personnel of potential hazards. High sensitivity or isotope identification is not possible with the system. A tiny increase from the background radiation level can be detected within 30 s and in case the source is purely x-ray or gamma, or if it contains beta and optionally alpha particles, an indication will be provided.

The Iospectra Hawk can be used as an environmental monitor, area monitor, portal monitor, entrance monitor, building monitor and perimeter monitor. It can also be optionally used to shut down air intakes on a building with an external adapter that samples air from the air intakes.

The attractive wall mount enclosure is suitable for industrial and security applications and can blend into an office environment. All functions are controlled using a secured access panel and is available with tamper resistant fasteners. Cables can be routed through the back wall, or through the bottom panel.

Control Panel helps in setting the alert level for each detector, power switch, mute alarm function, and access to interface cables.
