JUMEME is a mini-grid operator using solar-battery-diesel hybrid power systems connected to medium and low voltage distribution networks in order to supply high quality, highly reliable and affordable electricity to its customers in rural Tanzanian growth centres. The capacity of the systems is designed to support large motors and pumps for productive purposes as well as private homes.
