Smithers Materials Science and Engineering has been serving the rubber, plastics, print, and packaging industries for nearly 100 years, providing a complete portfolio of testing and consulting services from the product development stage to the ultimate service environment. Environmental Risk Sciences (ERS)

Smithers Environmental Risk Sciences provides standard guideline and higher-tiered environmental studies on a global scale. Laboratory-based and field studies are conducted by experts with years of experience in both North America and Europe. Our laboratories are equipped to deliver a comprehensive range of ecotoxicology,environmental fate, metabolism, and chemistry services, in service to the pharmaceutical, crop protection, chemical, and consumer household product industries worldwide.

Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS)

Smithers Pharmaceutical Development Services offers a comprehensive range of pre-clinical and clinical services for all phases of drug development, including support for development of drug delivery devices, and medical and pharmaceutical packaging testing. Our expert scientists perform large molecule bioanalysis, assay development, validation, and sample analysis at our GLP- and GCP-compliant laboratories. We conduct environmental risk assessments/environmental assessments to support registration in the EU and US for our pharmaceutical clients. Smithers also offers accredited, third-party auditing and certification to the ISO 13485 quality management system standard for the medical device industry.
