Product Overview
The Energy 11 Twin-Screw Extruder helps overcome battery manufacturing obstacles by providing continuous and thorough mixing. The horizontally split barrel with completely ported ports enables the flexible feeding of solid and liquid materials.
The throughput of the final product varies from 50 g/h to 5 kg/h. The control panel can be detached and used to run the extruder within a glovebox or fume hood as needed. All product contact parts are crafted from CPM® steel anddesigned to meet the demands of battery applications, minimizing the risk of metal abrasion in the final product.
The complete assembly consisting of the feedport, barrel, screw, and die may be removed with one tri-clamp connection. This helps avoidcross-contamination and guarantees prompt cleaning.
Due to its high shear force capabilities, the Energy 11 Twin-Screw Extruder can drastically reduce solvent during mixing, usually from 60% to 15%. Scaling to a manufacturing process can result in considerable energy savings during the subsequent drying phase and lower solvent costs.
