Xtra-Sense Ltd is a designer and manufacturer of innovative and specialist security and safety related products. The company was initially established in 2000 under the name of Staplethorne Xtra-Sense to develop and supply a range of specialist security sensor and alarm products for exhibits and displays.

Since then, the company has continued to develop its product range through a process of improvements to the original systems and introducing new products, based upon new applications or requests from customers.

Although many of our products are highly adaptable to a wide range of applications, we can customize the product to provide a suitable solution for specific problems. In all situations, we aim to offer the most appropriate solution and will not recommend products if they fail to match that objective.

Our in-house electronic design and technical expertise enables us to offer customised solutions for specific security problems. In cases where no existing product offers an appropriate solution, we can offer our design and technical expertise to develop a bespoke solution. Examples include our specialist detector for ATMs and safes, and a painting alarm solution for a corporate art collection.

Users of our product range include several prestigious international museums, local and regional museums and art galleries, English Heritage, The National Trust, historic houses, retailers of art and premium goods, universities, Banks, and churches.
