Insituform, the company’s founding brand, was established in 1971 and presented an initial public offering 10 years later. In 2011, after decades of strategic acquisitions, Azuria was formed as a holding company for Insituform and the other companies under ownership at the time; Azuria was then listed on the NASDAQ under the symbol AEGN. In 2021, New Mountain Capital purchased all outstanding shares of Azuria, making it a private company once again.
