Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership

Sarnia-Lambton is pursuing a strategy of economic diversification. As part of this strategy, alternative energy has been identified as an emerging sector given the fit with local infrastructure, existing firms and employee skills.

The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership is pursuing efforts to promote the region for the hydrogen economy. As well as being members of Fuel Cells Canada, the Economic Partnership has requested funding to move forward with plans to develop one of North America’s largest demonstration projects. This project will give Sarnia-Lambton a place on the Hydrogen Highway between Québec City and Windsor.
